Replace username and password with the admin username and password of your router. Replace 192.168.1.1 with the IP address of your router.
If you have Windows, with neither of the above, and don’t want to download wget, try using bitsadmin to create a download job.

I have tried all the above mentioned suggestions including the Python script with my TP LINK TD-W9970 router but nothing is working. I simply cannot authenticate to the router using Curl, I get 403 errors or 500 errors.
When you say haywire what exactly do you mean? The reason I ask is because I had a script to do the reboot on a tp-link as well, but couldnt reboot it remotely because it went haywire
